History

Rederij Wantij BV is established at 1982 by mr Koch, Eleveld,Verdoorn, Veenma and Berends and ordered the mv Maas at shipyard Vervako at Heusden.

1983 : The mv Maas was finished and delivered to Rederij Wantij BV.

1991 : The mv Donau (3000 DWT) was ordered at the shipyard Turnu Severin in Roemenia.

1993 : The mv Maas was sold to mr Oldekamp and the mv Donau was finished and delivered to Rederij Wantij BV.

1998 : The biggest part of shares from Rederij Wantij BV was sold to the brothers J. and W.H. van Veen and mr J. Hartman.

2002 : The brothers J. and W.H. van Veen devided their own company's, and all shares of Rederij Wantij BV were sold to mr J. van Veen, J.Hartman and T.N.Blokzijl.

2004 : The mv Donau was sold to the brothers J. en A. de Koning Gans. Rederij Wantij BV bought the mv Oostzee and the mv Alblas.

2005 : A new mv Donau (8000 DWT) was ordered at Shipyard Rousse JSC in Rousse, Bulgaria. The mv Oostzee was sold to Letland.

2006 : The mv Alblas was sold to Spain and Rederij Wantij BV take over the complete shares of Scheepvaartbedrijf Marian BV which was owner and operator of the river tanker Dissidentia.

2007 : The owners of Rederij Wantij with mr B.Koenen started a new company, Intermezzo B.V., and signed a contract for a river barge bunkertanker.The river tanker mts Dissidentia was sold to rederei GEFO at Hamburg.

 2008 : The river bunkertanker mts Intermezzo finished and delivered to Intermezzo BV.

2011 : The mv Donau finally delivered after signing the contract 6 years ago. The mv Donau is owned and managed by Rederij Wanmar. A co-operation between Scheepvaartbedrijf Marian BV and Rederij Wantij BV.
